What Is Infrared Sauna Heat Therapy?

In today’s environment, we’re constantly exposed to toxins that our bodies struggle to eliminate. Over time, this buildup leads to a range of health issues, affecting everything from energy levels to cellular function. Infrared sauna heat therapy offers an effective solution to this problem by raising your core body temperature, triggering a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level where toxins are stored.

Infrared therapy doesn’t just help rid your body of harmful toxins. It also enhances circulation, promotes tissue repair, and provides relief from muscle tension and pain. Regular sessions support overall wellness by reducing stress, improving sleep quality, boosting relaxation, and even promoting healthier, more radiant skin. Plus, it aids in weight loss.

Enhance Circulation, Reduce Stress, and Soothe Muscles: Feel the Benefits of Deep Heat Therapy

During your infrared sauna session, you sit comfortably in the sauna unit and relax while the infrared light gently heats your body. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which the infrared light waves penetrate deeply into your tissues, raising your core temperature. This process helps increase soft tissue elasticity, stimulate blood flow, eliminate toxins, relieve pain, reduce stress, and promote muscle relaxation.

What Makes Our Infrared Therapy Unique?
Advanced Solocarbon 3-in-1 Therapy for Targeted Wellness

Our infrared sauna features the Solocarbon® 3-in-1 heater, a clinically proven system delivering near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths for targeted health benefits. With 99% efficiency, this advanced technology allows customized sessions to support pain relief, detoxification, circulation, and relaxation—helping you feel your best.

Near Infrared

Near Infrared (NIR)

Targets Surface Tissue – NIR’s shorter wavelength effectively treats surface-level inflammation and promotes skin health.
Stimulates Circulation – Increases blood flow near the skin, delivering oxygen and nutrients for faster healing.
Supports Collagen Production – Aids in skin rejuvenation and anti-aging benefits.
Reduces Surface Pain – Relieves discomfort and inflammation in outer tissues.
Mid Infrared Sauna Wavelength

Mid Infrared (MIR)

Targets Inflammation at a Deeper Level – Unlike Near Infrared, which primarily affects the surface tissues, Mid penetrates deeper into the body’s soft tissues, effectively targeting inflammation where it occurs.
Improves Blood Flow and Oxygen Delivery to Tissues – By expanding blood vessels, MIR promotes better circulation, ensuring that oxygen reaches injured areas more efficiently.
Speeds Up the Healing Process – Enhanced circulation aids in quicker tissue repair and faster recovery
Reduces Pain and Discomfort – MIR’s deep tissue reach helps alleviate pain by reducing inflammation and improving tissue function.
Far Infrared Sauna Wavelength

Far Infrared (FIR)

Deep Tissue Penetration – Far Infrared reaches the deepest layers of muscle and joints, making it ideal for chronic pain and stiffness.
Detoxification Support – Promotes sweating at a cellular level, helping the body release stored toxins.
Improves Circulation & Relaxation – Gently increases core body temperature to boost blood flow and ease tension.
Reduces Chronic Pain & Fatigue – Regular Far Infrared exposure may help manage conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and muscle fatigue.

Infrared Heat Therapy vs. Traditional Saunas

Unlike traditional saunas that simply heat the air, our Infrared Heat Therapy Unit uses far infrared heat clinically shown to raise core body temperature, support detoxification, reduce blood pressure, and assist in weight management.

Traditional saunas rely on high external temperatures that can feel overwhelming and make breathing difficult. In contrast, infrared heat penetrates deep into soft tissue, heating the body from within for a more comfortable experience with greater benefits.

Infrared therapy has been shown to be up to 7x more effective than traditional saunas at detoxifying the body — producing sweat made up of up to 20% toxins, compared to only 3% from conventional steam heat.

Physician-Preferred Infrared Heat Therapy

Our Infrared Heat Unit is one of the most recommended by doctors, wellness professionals, and health experts for its clinically backed benefits. Far infrared therapy is recognized for supporting cardiovascular health, including lowering blood pressure—a benefit aligned with the American Heart Association’s recommendations.

It’s also valued for its role in detoxifying heavy metals like lead and cadmium—substances known to worsen symptoms in sensitive populations, including individuals with autism. These detox benefits support broader wellness goals promoted by organizations such as the American Cancer Society and National Autism Association.

Chromotherapy (Color Light Therapy) for Targeted Wellness Support

Chromotherapy, also known as color light therapy, is the use of visible light at specific wavelengths to support physical well-being. It’s based on the principle that different colors (wavelengths) of light interact with the body in measurable ways — much like how natural sunlight affects biological processes.

The Science Behind It

Each color of light carries a different wavelength and energy level, which affects how it interacts with tissues in the body:

  • Red Light (620–750 nm): Longer wavelengths allow for deeper tissue penetration. It’s studied for its role in supporting circulation and promoting cellular energy (ATP) production.
  • Blue Light (450–495 nm): Shorter wavelengths interact more with surface tissues. Research highlights its antimicrobial effects and influence on skin cell activity.
  • Green Light (495–570 nm): Falls in the middle of the visible light spectrum. It’s being explored for its potential to influence the autonomic nervous system and support balance in physiological responses.
  • Yellow Light (570–590 nm): Has a slightly higher wavelength than green and is investigated for its effects on skin clarity and possible stimulation of lymphatic function.
  • Orange Light (590–620 nm): Nearing the red light range, orange is thought to support tissue oxygenation and may contribute to overall vitality by interacting with surface capillaries.

These wavelengths stimulate various biological processes, similar to how sunlight influences hormone regulation, sleep patterns, and vitamin production. These effects are similar to how UVB light from the sun triggers vitamin D production, or how blue light helps regulate the body’s sleep-wake cycle (circadian rhythm). In other words, different types of light influence hormones, neurotransmitters, and cellular activity.

Clinical & Research-Based Applications
  • NASA has studied specific light wavelengths to support tissue repair in astronauts.
  • Dermatology clinics use color-based light therapy for skin healing and inflammation.
  • Hospitals use blue light phototherapy to treat newborn jaundice, helping break down excess bilirubin.
Acoustic Resonance Sound Therapy Green Bay

Acoustic Resonance Therapy for Chronic Pain, Anxiety & More

Acoustic Resonance Therapy uses sound and gentle vibration to activate the body’s natural relaxation response. This innovative therapy blends soothing music with low-frequency sound waves that you both hear and feel, creating a calming, full-body experience. As the sound resonates through the surface of the unit, it stimulates your sense of touch—similar to a light massage—promoting deep relaxation and restoring balance across your body’s systems. By combining audio and vibrational therapy, Acoustic Resonance helps reduce stress, support healing, and bring the nervous system into harmony.

Infrared Sauna FAQ’s

  • Is Detoxification Still Effective in an Infrared Sauna If I’m Not Sweating Excessively? Yes—detoxification is still happening even if you’re not dripping with sweat. Infrared sauna therapy works differently than traditional saunas or post-workout sweating. The heat from our infrared sauna penetrates deeper into the body, helping release toxins at a cellular level. The sweat produced tends to be thicker, as it contains more than just water—approximately 20% toxins and 80% water, compared to just 3% toxins and 97% water in a conventional sauna. So even with mild sweating, your body is actively detoxing more efficiently.
  • Can Toxins Be Reabsorbed After a Sauna Session? Detoxification in our infrared sauna works differently than in traditional saunas. During an infrared session, toxins are released from the body as the molecular structure of the cells is broken down, making it impossible for toxins to be reabsorbed. In contrast, traditional saunas primarily expel surface-level sweat and toxins, so it’s important to shower immediately after a session. For infrared sauna therapy, we recommend drying off with a towel and waiting at least 30 minutes before showering. This allows your body to continue benefiting from the detoxification process as it cools naturally.
  • Is It Safe to Use the Sauna While Breastfeeding? Please consult with your physician, as this answer is usually yes, but may be no depending upon specific circumstances.
  • How Often Can I Do A Session? Most people partake in a 40-minute session, 1-3 times a week, but it is safe to use daily.
  • Should I Be Concerned With The Output Of Electromagnetic Field Exposure During An Infrared Sauna Therapy Session? No, the EMF (electric and magnetic field) levels of our infrared heat therapy is well below the threshold of what is generally considered safe. In fact, our therapy produces less EMF than a standard hair dryer, or cell phone.
  • Are There Any Contraindications? If you are pregnant, have had an organ transplant, or have a pacemaker we advice that you consult with your physician.
  • Does Infrared Technology Interfere With Implants (Metal, Silicone, Etc.)? Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared waves and thus are not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you may consult your physician prior to using an infrared heat therapy.
  • I’m Taking Prescription Medications, Can I Do A Sauna Session? As with any medical treatments individuals who are using prescription drugs should consult with their physician to ensure there is no risk for drug interaction.
  • Do I need a referral to book an infrared sauna session? No referral is needed! Anyone can schedule a $20 infrared sauna session directly with us — whether or not you’re currently a chiropractic patient.
